Leisure Services

The Hampton Regional Leisure Services Committee (HRLSC) is a dedicated team of volunteers that fosters the enhancement of leisure services for the greater Hampton region (LSDs of Hampton, Kingston, Norton, Springfield, Upham and the Town of Hampton) through collaboration, cooperation, communication, awareness, infrastructure, and capacity building for the health and well-being of the people in our region.

The HRLSC was formed as a result of a three (3) year pilot project initiated in 2011 to investigate the developmental process of regional leisure services for the greater Hampton region. The pilot project proved the value in working together as well as the need to carry on and to build on the work started.  In 2015 the HRLSC continues to foster the enhancement of regional leisure services as result of financial and in-kind contributions from our members.

Our Vision is the Greater Hampton region working together in offering regional leisure services that support and meet the health and wellness needs of the people.

Our Mission is to foster the enhancement of leisure services for the health and well-being of the people in the Greater Hampton region through collaboration, cooperation, awareness, communication, infrastructure, and capacity building.

We Value…

• Being respectful of each other
• Building trust through meaningful engagement
• Sharing resources and news
• Forming partnerships
