Planning To Build?

When obtaining a building permit, you can help the process by being prepared.
Information you may need when applying for a Building Permit:

 

  • A set-beck/access permit from the Department of Transportation or municipal Public Works Department
  • An approval from the Department of Health & Community Services for any on-site sewer systems
  • Site and building plans
  • A completed building permit application form
  • The property identification number (PID), available from the local registry office (or on your property tax bill)
  • Approvals from other government agencies, if required
  • Any other requirements to certify conformity
  • Applicable fees
