BATTERY & CFL/LED BULB RECYCLING PROGRAMS
Batteries and CFL/LED light bulbs are Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and are not part of the curbside collection program.
RSC8 has partnered with a number of community drop-off locations throughout the region to allow you to drop these items at the location that is most convenient to you. Locations are listed below or you can click here to view a map.
If your business is interested in hosting a battery or CFL/LED bin, please contact us at 432-7530 or info@rsc8.ca.
BATTERY RECYCLING BinS
These locations accept household alkaline and rechargeable batteries. We do not accept automotive or industrial batteries as these are recycled under existing recycling programs. Please ensure that the terminals of rechargeable and lithium ion batteries are covered in tape before depositing into the bins.

CFL/Led Recycling Bins
These locations accept household CFL and LED bulbs. Please ensure you use the provided bags to ensure that bulbs are contained in case they get broken as they contain harmful mercury. Fluorescent tubes are not accepted in these bins but are accepted at hazardous waste collection events.
