Planning to Build?
When obtaining a building permit, you can help the process by being prepared.
Information you may need when applying for a Building Permit:

A set-beck/access permit from the Department of Transportation or municipal Public Works Department

An approval from the Department of Public Safety for any on-site sewer systems

Site and building plans
-
A completed building permit application form
-
The property identification number (PID), available from the local registry office (or on your property tax bill)
-
Approvals from other government agencies, if required
-
Any other requirements to certify conformity

Applicable fees

to confirm permit requirements specific to your project.
